Why Is Mission Day Important To Us? - by Aleenah

Why Is Mission Day Important To Us? - by Aleenah
Mission day is a fundraising event that our school takes part in to help an orphanage in India.

Our school makes this fun for children so we make up stalls to make money and then send it to the Holy Angels Orphanage in India. People play or buy things from the stalls we created.

The Holy Angels Orphanage was established by the Mission Sisters which is a way of continuing their work but for us to have a great relationship with them. The Mission Sisters not only built an orphanage but a boarding school and a medical clinic for the place.

As the mission partnership of the orphanage and school,  We do this as it reminds us of our responsibility to help people in different areas. Our school also prays for the work for the missionaries who’ve people other people in the world.

Mission day is very important to us because the children in the Holy Orphanage is our Mission Partnership.

Mission day-by Aleenah

Mission Day
Learning Intention:We are learning to write a recount.
Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can write a recount using capital letters, full stops and in paragraph form correctly.

I am excited! Today is the day we can play games, wear mufti clothes and more.

It was time to celebrate our amazing day. I bought a raffle ticket for a Lego Ninjago set. It has so many details. The part I like was the vehicle. It was so mean and cool.

Next I bought a cola drink. It cost $1. Then I gave all my money to my brother and walk around and sit down under the trees to relax. That was very nice to have a relaxing day.

When the celebration was over and it was time for lunch. I had a sausage sizzle. It was so yummy especially with the ketchup on it. It was so delicious that I wanted another one. I ate it so fast. I have to clean my mess because their are crumbs on the carpet.

Lastly we watched a movie called Despicable  Me 3.I liked how the Minions talked. It was very funny.

Do we need to celebrate Mission day or not? - By Aleenah

Do we need to celebrate Mission day or not?

I definitely agree that we should celebrate Mission day because we have loads of fun. You may think that we are wasting money but we are actually helping other children. We fund raise and we donated it to the "Holy Angels Orphanage" in India.

I had so much fun that I want it to happen everyday.
