We show respect and love to the land- by Aleenah

Learning Intention:W.A.L.T-recognise what  God has created is tapu because God is holy.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I demonstrate love and respect for the tapu of the whenua.

We show love and respect for the land by      picking up the rubbish and take our rubbish home and put them in the rubbish bin to make our community clean.

We look after the  trees because they give us  food, shelter, oxygen,medicine and many things.

 We keep the sea and river clean.River and sea gives us water to      drink,to swim and gave us food.
 We look after the animals. Animals gave us food,clothing and            drink.

Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I recognise Lent as a season of turning back to God by writing a prayer.

                                 

                                                         

 Dear God Thank you for taking care of me. I will always listen to you. I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Please forgive me God because I love you. From now I will try to help the people who are in danger. Thank you again for making me a part of your family, please help the builders to finish Rm. 6 by term 2 Lord hear us. 

Grandma and Grandpa- by Aleenah

Last Friday me and my grandparents went to the mall to buy Christmas decorations.We arrived at a very busy mall.

 First we bought a big Christmas tree. Later we walked to the next store but I was hungry. So grandma bought me a  big chocolate cupcake. It was so yummy.

We continued to buy decorations. We bought Christmas lights, balls,glitters and a Christmas star. I was tired so we went home.

Stormwater drain-Aleenah

  Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I write my story in order, and use capital letters and full stops correctly.
                                           

If it rains the water flows in the road and it goes into the storm water drain.When the rain is inside the drain  there is a very big pipe where the water flows all the way to the sea. If all rubbish from the road flows inside the drain it will go to the sea too. If the rubbish goes to the sea all of the fishes might die and we can't go fishing anymore.
There is a very important rule:Do not put rubbish in the drain so the water will not be polluted and kill the living things in thewater.

Last Monday down by the river I was fishing with my sister Athea. We heard a loud scream.A little girl was in  the cold water. Her name was Emily and she was shouting for help. Her mum was shouting for help as well. 
Me and my sister got a long rope and we pulled her out using the rope.Me and my sister had our clothes on and we were shivering  because we got wet and the water was cold. Emily was shivering badly because she was soaked. After wards Emily's mum said ''Thanks".
