Multiplying by 2s, 5s and 10s- by Aleenah

Learning Intention:W.A.L.T-multiply numbers up to 100.
Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can multiply numbers using skip counting, doubles and repeated addition.

Problems: How many marbles are there altogether ?

1) 2 children had 10 marbles each.= 20
    I know its 20 because I skip counted by two's 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12,         14, 16, 18, 20
Image result for 10 red marbles    I doubled ten =10 + 10= 20
    I multiplied tens 10 x 2= 20
2) Poppy, Sam and Emma have 5 marbles           each. How many marbles do they have           altogether ? 15
    I know its 15 because I skip counted by         five's- 5, 10, 15
    I used repeated addition 5 + 5 + 5= 15
    I multiplied 5 x 3= 15
3) Bently ate 3 packets of biscuits. There are 10 biscuits in each           packet.= 30
    I used repeated addition of 10 + 10 + 10= 30
    I multiplied 3 x 10=30
I skip counted by tens 10,20,30.
