Learning Intention: Identify the main events of St. Francis of Assisi.

Image result for st. francis of assisiSt. Francis of Assisi was noble saint and has a similarity of Jesus. He was born wealthy in September 26, 1181. He was a Christian saint but got captured later on. He helped other people there and told them a bit about God. St. Francis never talked to God, but did believe. 

When he was released, Francis was disowned by his family. He become homeless and poor so he begged money but also gave some to people who also needed it. After a while he led followers like Jesus. 

He died in October 3 1226 and was named canonized as a Saint from a Pope Gregory IX. St. Francis of Assisi was also found foundations. (Franciscan Order, patron saints of animals and much more

St. Maximilian Kolbe - by Aleenah

Learning Intention: Identify the main events in St. Maximilian's Life.

Image result for st. maximilian kolbeMaximilian was first a priest, then promoted to a catholic priest with his brother in 1917. He was still present when World War II. The priest was active at the radio transporting actions of the Nazi's. 

Soon enough he got captured by the Nazis and was placed prisoner for persecution later on. In his time there he thought men about songs and praying to God. A man was then elected to die but he begged the soldiers to let him live because of his family. 

Maximilian took attention of the Nazis and declared for him to die instead. "I have no family and none will miss me, so take me instead". It took a while for him to  persuade the soldiers to take his life but died as they finally agreed. The man survived the war and returned to his family. 

"Greater has no man than this, lay down their life for it's friend"
