Reclaiming The Maori Culture
Long ago, Missionaries traveled to New Zealand to preach Christianity and to develop an education system. During this time the Missionaries banned from speaking their language and participating in cultural activities. Kids learning at that time only learnt English so by 1975 Te Reo had dropped by 5%. Now New Zealand has begun to reclaim the Maori language and culture.
