  1. Tēnā koe i tēnei ahiahi Aleenah,

You did it! You completed all the activities. Ka pai! :)

I'm glad you enjoyed working through the Summer Learning Journey. The activities are so much fun. I really enjoyed reading through your blog posts, and I still have more to read through which I'm looking forward to!

Please keep rechecking your blogs - people will be leaving you comments and I'm sure they;d love to hear back from you. Also, commenting on others who have left questions or comments on your SLJ to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

    Nga mihi

A huge CONGRATULATIONS for finishing this years' SLJ programme, "Changemakers: People who have changed the world" - did you know that you're the first student from Saint Patrick's School to finish the programme? You should be so proud of yourself!

I really like that you enjoyed the Shakespearean language - I too have an affinity with it! Have you seen or read any of his plays?

Well done Aleenah, considering this is your first year too, you should be incredibly proud of yourself.

    Ngā mihi

  4. Hey Aleenah,
I like your post. J.K Rowling's activity WAS something unexpected wasn't it? I was struggling to take a picture of my drawing then gave up and tried to copy it onto good drawing. What would you rate the Summer Learning Journey out of 10? Have a great holiday :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed learning about all the different changemakers. I have also learnt a lot from reading and commenting on different activities!

My name is Leisha and I am a blog commenter in the Toki Pounamu cluster team. I just wanted to pop in here and extend my congratulations to you too. You have done a superb job at completing all of the SLJ activities well before the finish date. You should be extremely proud of yourself.

It is so wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the programme this year and that the programme has helped you improve your writing too. I thought the shakespearean activity was super fun too. I’m glad you liked it!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your school holidays.

  7. Good Evening Aleenah,

I am Samuel, and this is my first year as a blog commenter reading over the Maniakalani blogs. Well done on completing the Summer Learning Journey to such a high standard. It is no small achievement to complete 60 tasks in 4 weeks, especially when some of them were not the easiest and required a lot of thinking. I love that you liked Shakespearian english. I like writing poetry, and the majority of the time, I write in Shakespearian english. I studied it when I was about 4 or 5, so when you mentioned it in your blog, so that is one thing we have in common. Once again, congratulations on this substantial accomplishment, Aleenah.

    Kind Regards,
    Samuel
