Three Lessons For My Future kids - Aleenah
To My Future Kids
Today was not the usual would you rather's but instead my class wrote about three things we would teach our future children, here is what I wrote but my class has their own blogs you can also see their point of views.
"To the future life of my kid I hope they would apply these values I wish I was taught. May they have freedom of their own mind and actions and not the high stereotypes of people. For they suppress your true self until you never knew who you were since you pretend to be somebody who you aren’t. They would also be taught the significance of themselves and how they matter and not how they are a waste. I wouldn’t want them to feel they are just one more number adding to the population who are a waste of time or supplies because that is just painful. Lastly, they will never be sexist and will appreciate every race, culture and gender in this world as it is what makes us valued. Overall I wouldn’t want to tolerate a youngster who is another version of my spirit."

A Haiku Poem - Aleenah
Mysterious Bystander (RE Week 4 Pt 4)
This poem relates to the story of St. Martin. Where his act of selflessness and kindness is rewarded by God. He tore half his cloak and offered it to poor, cold man. The next day, The sun shone brightly among the winter season. So the class was tasked with creating a haiku poem in the eyes of either the poor man or a bystander.

Not only that, she also tasked us in designing a bike mobile fit to carry 3 children. Here is my take on those tasks.

St Martin De Porres - Aleenah
St Martin De Porres
Today is the beloved feast day of St. Martin De Porres, who was a man of little self-desire and only wanted what was best for other people. Under here I wrote little bit about him!
St Martin De Porres, Patron Saint of social justice and mixed-race people, descent from his free-indigenous mother and Spanish nobleman father, was born on December 9, 1519. At the time, mixed-race people were looked down on and had little privilege, certainly unfair for Martin’s family. I’m sure the racism would’ve been worse in that era but it didn’t seem to bother him too much as he grew in generosity, thoughtfulness and faith. He began to practice spiritual and religious prayers at the early age of 10 which stood with him all the way until his deathbed. Yet, when he started, his fame grew as it was quite uncommon for a child to be so involved in religious life. This later got him an apprenticeship as a barber. A barber in the 15th century was not only a hair stylist but also a medical pharmacy and wound dresser. To his surprise, Martin was skilled and praised for his ability to heal even the scariest infections which earned him several demanded sessions and love from the people of Peru.
It is of course known that St. Martin De Porres was a selfless man ready to offer the pitied people on streets his medical experience and justice. Everybody appreciated his presence as he would always be kind, accepting & loving to anybody of race.
