Isabelle the hippo
Learning Intention:We are learning to write a narrative story.
Success Criteria: I know I am successful when I can write a narrative story using capital letters and full stops correctly and in paragraph form.
Isabelle was a fat, grey hippo. Isabelle loves dancing. Every time her parents were not at the river she would dance her heart out.
One evening Isabelle cannot sleep. She received a letter from Birdie the mail bird. She opened the letter but before she could read any words, a group of people injected her with a sleeping drug. She fell down and passed out. The group dragged Isabelle behind an enormous tree.
Later, Isabelle's parents went to look for her. They couldn't find her, so they called an old wise hippo and started to look for her. They found Isabelle as well as the group that caught her. The group were punished by the strong hippos and Isabelle's family was happy to have her back.
Junk food is bad for our body. It is full of sugar. You can get diabetes. They make you fat and your teeth will rot. Junk food doesn't give you vitamins. Fruits and vegetables are better than Junk food.
One day Fortune was out in the garden looking for something to play with, when he heard a strange sound outside the fence. Fortune crept to the fence and peeked through a small hole. He saw a rat trapped inside a cage and 2 rats that looked like they were guarding the cage. Fortune thought he would save that rat.
